Boone County Arboretum in Union, Kentucky

Boone County Arboretum at Central Park is the nation's first arboretum within an active recreation park setting. It is located just outside Union, Ky., it’s Northern Kentucky's only arboretum. There is no charge for admission or parking. The arboretum is open daily from dawn to dusk for your year-round enjoyment of our more than 2,700 trees and shrubs. The arboretum encompasses 121 acres, and has over two miles of paved walking trails, winding through various plant collections, woodland settings, and athletic fields. Three kiosks are located at the main trail entrances that share horticultural information, extension class offerings, and an arboretum map. Special attractions at the arboretum include the children's garden, a wildlife viewing area, and a woodland walking trail.

Garden of Hope in Covington, Kentucky

A tranquil, 2.5 acre park, Garden of Hope in Covington, Kentucky features an exact replica of Christ's tomb in Jerusalem, along with historic artifacts, statuary and imported stones from the Jordan River, Jerusalem's Wailing Wall, Solomon's Temple and more. In addition to the incredible views, you will also see a Spanish mission replica built with stones from the Horns of Hatton, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount.

The conservatory changes throughout the year with special exhibits and programs, including the ever-popular Butterfly Show where thousands of butterflies are free to fly throughout the Krohn Conservatory showroom in a specially-themed garden.
