Transportation

Getting here is easy—Northern Kentucky is less than a half-day car ride, and a two-hour flight from 60% of the U.S. population.  Let us help you plan transportation around the area once you’re in town.

Executive Transportation:  For more than 50 years, locals have depended on Executive Transportation Services for providing transportation ranging from sedans to vans and motor coaches.

TANK:  The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) has provided transit services to Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties as well as downtown Cincinnati since 1973.

Cincy Red Bike:  Red Bike is the region's Bike Share program with more than 50 stations in Cincinnati, Covington, Newport, and Bellevue.  A convenient, low cost, healthy and green transportation system, Red Bike is designed for short, point-to-point trips, and adds to the urban vitality of the city while increasing mobility for residents, workers, students, and visitors.

Southbank Shuttle:  The Southbank Shuttle, aka the Trolley, serves the cities of Bellevue, Newport, and Covington in Kentucky and travels to downtown Cincinnati in Ohio. It runs every fifteen minutes on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m April - October. November - March the shuttle runs until 7pm every day.

Uber/Lyft:  Starting at $21 from Downtown Cincinnati to CVG, Uber and Lyft are an affordable way to and from your flight.

Cincy Brew Bus:  The area’s premier transportation company for craft brewery, winery, and distillery tours and bourbon tastings.  They offer several different tour options to cater to your preferences.

Food Trucks

Food trucks are a popular way to serve food at quite literally any location.  They also allow events to serve more than one culinary option.  Here in the Cincy Region, we have a Food Truck Association that is a great reference to connect with the trucks that would best fit your needs.  Visit them at https://cincinnatifoodtruckassociation.org to browse some of the local options.

Off-Site Venues

Some of the best experiences of a convention or conference happen off-site.  In Northern Kentucky, we are flexible and adaptable--and open to new ideas!  We’ve helped plan and host some incredible off-site events and can’t wait to help you plan yours.  Some of our favorite venues include:

Covington Plaza

One of the area’s newest options for unique off-site venues, Covington Plaza is an outdoor amphitheater that uses the Cincinnati skyline as its backdrop.  Just steps from the Northern Kentucky Convention Center and RiverCenter hotels Embassy Suites and Marriott, Covington Plaza is a great option for your event’s off-site gathering.

New Riff Distilling

Bring your group for a tour, sample the white dog whiskey, or take over the entire third-floor event center and host a happy hour or an elegant banquet meal--New Riff’s event options are endless.

Newport Aquarium

Make a splash and host your group’s off-site event underwater!  Newport Aquarium is very versatile and offers options from a moving happy hour that allows your guests to enjoy all the underwater creatures, to a private, riverside ballroom event, and everything in between.

BB Riverboats

Hop aboard and rock the boat!  Whether you want to set sail with a meal, or stay docked and enjoy the skyline views of the River’s Edge event center, BB Riverboats is a top favorite of both meeting planners and attendees.

Ark Encounter

Ark Encounter specializes in group events, including zip line and ropes course team building challenges, Ark tours, petting zoo experiences, and private events in the new Answer Center.

Cincinnati Reds

MLB’s oldest team has a history to share inside of the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, and Great American Ballpark is an excellent option for an off-site event.  Whether your group wants a private ballpark tour, or wants to enjoy all nine innings of a game, it’s sure to be a home run.

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

In addition to the museum being a moving experience for everyone, they also showcase some incredible meeting spaces.

Hofbrauhaus Newport

Your guests will love dancing the Chicken Dance, stein holding competitions, and keg tapping!  Hofbrauhaus has many options to entertain your guests before, during, and after curbing their hunger.
