October is a spectacular month to be in the NKY and Cincinnati region! We enjoy glorious fall color and glorious weather too….Usually 😊. It’s a wonderful time of year to enjoy our attractions and local festivals. Here are a few ideas for your “things to do” list:

FotoFocus

FotoFocus – Oct. 4-7

The FotoFocus Biennial happens all over our Northern Kentucky and Cincy region. There will be more than 80 projects featuring 200 artists and curators! To name just one, the theme for the NKY is “Far Out: The Unexpected Awaits at Northern Kentucky Venues.”

NKY Bourbon Festival

NKY Bourbon Festival – Oct. 4

Bourbon tastings, food samples, music, and even a car show await you at the first NKY Bourbon Festival at the Hilton Cincinnati Airport!

Cincinnati Fire Museum

ChiliFest at the Cincinnati Fire Museum – Oct. 6

It’s back! After a 14-year hiatus, Gold Star chili is teaming up once again with the Cincinnati Fire Museum for a festival featuring games, firefighter demos, live music, food trucks, and, of course, a chili cookoff!

DevouGrass

DevouGrass – Oct. 6

The 5th annual DevouGrass festival supports the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky. This free festival starts at noon and goes until dusk, chock-full of picnicking, circus entertainment, arts and crafts, and great live bluegrass music!

August Turning of the Leaves

Take a beautiful drive along the banks of the Ohio river, enjoying the fall foliage and scenic views, to Augusta for their fall festival.

Bourbon, Bites and Brews – Oct. 20

Boone County Distilling Co., a stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour® as well as a cornerstone stop on our local NKY bourbon tour, The B-Line, is celebrating their third Bourbon, Bites and Brews Festival! A wonderful live music lineup, craft beer from Rhinegeist, and too many vendors and food trucks to list--click the link to see them! A portion of the proceeds is going to Adore-a-Bull Rescue.
