Ah, June.  It's finally feeling like summer in the tristate and we are excited to welcome everything that comes with it: baseball, festivals, patio dining, and late-night swinging at Smale Park.  But in addition to the usual go-to summer activities, check out this list if you're looking for events happening in June.

Taste of Newport

On June 2, head to Monmouth Street in Newport to check out Taste of Newport.  The event will showcase Newport's best, including BB Riverboats, Carabello Coffee, Dixie Chili, Hofbrauhaus, Newport Pizza, The Baker's Table, Wooden Cask Brewery, and more!

The 10th Annual NKY Pride will be celebrated June 9 in Covington, but has events happening now through the Hotel Covington Pride after party on the 9th.  "Y'all Means All!" is the theme of the events and features old favorites and new additions.  Check out the full schedule on the facebook event.

Happening June 8 and 9, the Covington Garden Tour features gardens from Covington's Westside, Mutter Gottes, and Old Seminary Square.  Even if you don't have a green thumb, it's relaxing and enjoyable to marvel at the work of those who do.

Head to Kentucky Speedway on June 11 to check out thousands of Hot Rods from all over the country and beyond as part of the largest Hot Rod road trip in the world.  Spectator admission is free!

Head to Riverboat Row on June 14 to participate in the 28th annual Newport Italianfest!  With more than 100,000 average visitors, the event features authentic Italian food and live Italian music.

 

CATS - June 11-16

Part of the Broadway Cincinnati series at the Aronoff Center, CATS will be in Cincinnati in June.  You won't want to miss the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical that's captivated audiences in more than 30 countries.  More info.

Grab your lawn chair and head to AJ Jolly Park in Alexandria on June 15 for the Country Fest Music Festival featuring recording artist Tyler Booth.  Food vendors, crafts, and kids activities make this event fun for the entire family.

Summer Music on the Levee presented by Braxton Brewing Co. is back every Thursday evening from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. beginning May 23 and running until Sept. 5.  Admission is free, so put on your dancing shoes and have a great time!

Also happening on Thursday nights through Aug. 15 is music at Behringer-Crawford Museum's outdoor amphitheater.  Don't forget concert-goers can purchase food from Colonial Cottage!
