Summer is heating up in NKY and Cincinnati and we're glad to say July is sizzling with events happening across the region!  Keep reading to fill your calendar with can't-miss summertime events.

Coney Island is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Balloon Glow and you don't want to miss it!  In addition to the traditional balloon glow and fireworks show, this year will also feature five showings of the Cincinnati Circus Stunt Show.

Independence Day - July 4

The Cincinnati Enquirer has put together an awesome list of all the area's fireworks, parades, festivals, etc. for you to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.  Check it out here.

Kentucky Speedway will welcome record crowds to Sparta the July 13 weekend for one of the best battles on the NASCAR circuit.  Don't miss out on special race-weekend opportunities such as Neeley Family Distillery's special showing of Kindred Spirits, a new documentary that tells "the story of Kentucky Craft Bourbon", and features some of our local distillers like Royce Neeley, and Ken Lewis of New Riff Distilling, happening on July 12 at 2 p.m.

If you enjoy tapping your foot to some bluegrass music, don't miss the annual Sun Valley Bluegrass Festival at AJ Jolly Park on July 13 from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m.  Live music, food, vendors, crafts, and kids activities.

Head to Festival Park in Newport on July 12-14 to combine the region's favorite attributes:  Bacon, Bourbon, and Brew.  Each of the festival food vendors will feature creative bacon dishes as a nod to the area's rich history in the pork industry.  Friday night will also feature fireworks after the Reds game, so be sure to stick around.

The Cincinnati Music Festival will fill The Banks with song on July 25-27 as the biggest names in hip hop, jazz, R&B, and soul music perform at Paul Brown Stadium.

For the first time ever, Glier's Goettafest has expanded into an 8-day celebration!  Beginning July 25-28 weekend and continuing August 1-4, the celebration of all things goetta is sure to be fun for the whole family.  Continuous music playing on two stages, games and inflatables for the entire family, and more than 45 unique goetta items.  What unique food will you try?
