Happy Pride Month! This June marks the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the event in NYC that ignited the ongoing movement for LGBT rights and inspired the first Pride Parades. This year there are more Pride celebrations and things to do in the NKY and Cincinnati region than ever! Here are just a few standouts. June 6 – NKY Pride Community Celebration and Awards Ceremony
Head to New Riff Distilling from 5-8 pm for the 1st NKY Community Celebration and Awards Ceremony. Admission is FREE and open to all ages. Appetizers will be provided and there will be a cash bar. Register here.
June 9 – NKY Pride Parade and Festival
The Northern Kentucky Pride Parade heads down Madison Avenue in Covington at 1 pm and finishes at Goebel Park where the NKY PrideFest begins and lasts until 5pm. There will be family fun, live music, great food and drink, and lots of vendors.
June 9 – NKY Pride After Party at Hotel Covington
The party doors open at 6 pm with the fabulous show to start at 7! it will be held in the gorgeous patio of Coppin's Restaurant at the Hotel Covington. This don’t-miss event is free, with no cover. $1 of every drink sold will go to help fund NKY Pride.
June 22 – Cincinnati Pride Parade and Festival
The Cincinnati Pride Parade kicks off at 11 am in downtown Cincy, followed by the Pride Festival at Sawyer Point that goes from 12-9 pm. Join the celebration at this free party chock-full of good food and drink, family fun activities, music, dancing, and more!
June 23 – Pride Tea Dance at Music Hall
The Pride edition of the ongoing Cincinnati Tea Dances is also free. This event is for ages 21 and up and goes from 4-8 pm. Sip on concoctions created by the “Nation’s Best Bartender/Owner”, our own Molly Wellmann, and dance your heart out while enjoying entertainment provided by drag star Penny Tration, Elevated Aerials, Cin City Burlesque, International Cabaret Champions Maria and Aleyenendov, and more!
June 30 - Lawrenceburg Pride Parade and Festival
Head out to our Tristate neighbors in Indiana for the 2nd annual Lawrenceburg Pride celebration! The parade kicks off at noon with the Festival to follow from 12-4 pm.
