Covington and Newport have new places to hang out, grab a drink and a bite, but these aren’t your typical beer gardens. They are reimagined food courts—made out of shipping containers.

bridgeview box park

Bridgeview Box Park at Newport on the Levee offers great river views and a variety of food and drink vendors, including Second Sight Spirits, Wooden Cask Brewing, Che on Wheels and Little Spoon Bakery. Some of the containers are retail stores, including plant sellers Leaf and Limb and sunglasses from Sunnies and Shades.

Live music, swings and games like cornhole and giant Jenga make the open-air space great for all ages. Groups are kept small and socially distanced to ensure all visitors stay healthy.

covington yard

Covington Yard feels like a backyard party with all your friends. It is located a few blocks from the Roebling Bridge.

Visitors can sample drinks from the full bar, listen to music or watch a game. Of course, they’ve got food cravings covered with savory treats like tacos, Korean BBQ and chicken tenders.

The artificial turf reinforces the backyard feel and visitors are welcome to bring their dogs. Social distancing and masking requirements are in place at The Yard.

The weather may be getting cooler but both places will be winterizing their businesses to ensure all are comfortable while visiting. Also, be sure to check out the new igloos at Braxton Brewery's rooftop. We can't wait to try this out! Click Here to make reservations!
