There are several reasons why the Northern Kentucky region rivals cities like Chicago, New York and LA (cost of living, central location, education to name a few). A recent article in The Lane Report had a very different perspective – they focused on Arts and Culture!
Arts, Museums and Events – Oh my!
Arts – If music is your thing, you must spend an evening with the Kentucky Symphony. Like a more traditional palette? Take in the artistic talents showcased at The Carnegie. Your senses will never tire from all the amazing things to experience here.
Museums – You want to see dinosaurs? Visit the Creation Museum. Interested in a little history? Visit the Behringer-Crawford Museum. From the Vent Haven Ventriloquism Museum to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, this region is rich with museums of all kinds. Click for a full list of regional museums.
Events (and Festivals) – Northern Kentucky is so enriched with interesting history and heritage, there always seems to be a fun festival celebrating something or someone. A favorite is the MainStrasse Maifest located in MainStrasse Village – so colorful and lots of foods and beverages to temp your taste buds!
There is always something cool to do here. For example, just recently you may have experienced Mardi Gras...right here in Covington!
If you are looking for something to do, here are a few upcoming, must-do events:
Handbells Musicians of America
Opening Day Parade
