This Ohio River pedestrian-only bridge, one of only a few in the U.S., crosses from the south bank of Cincinnati, OH to the north bank of Newport, KY. Built in 1872 and on the Natl Register of Historic Places, the bridge was beautifully restored, painted purple and re-opened in 2003 as a pedestrian-only bridge providing breathtaking views of the Ohio Riverfront year-around and serving as a popular venue for a wide variety of public and private events.
