Day One

Arrive at NKY host hotel

Dinner cruise on BB Riverboats

Take a cruise with BB Riverboats and learn about the history of the river, take in a magnificent meal, or dance under the stars on an unbelievable journey you will never forget. BB Riverboats offers lunch, dinner and sightseeing cruises plus themed and specialty cruises.

Day Two

Breakfast at hotel

10 a.m. New Riff Distillery

No visit to Kentucky is complete without learning about the Art of Bourbon. New Riff is the latest addition to the World Famous Bourbon Trail. Your tour guide is a master distiller that takes you through the life cycle of bourbon making.

11:30 a.m. Visit the Newport Levee

The playground of NKY, home to one of the country’s highest rated aquariums, and home to many quaint shops & dining opportunities. Quick lunch planned at Tom & Chee—world-famous grilled cheese and tomato soup and former winner of the Shark Tank.

1 p.m. Visit Newport’s World Peace Bell

The world's largest free swinging bell. It weighs 66,000 lbs., is 12 feet in diameter and 12 feet high. This magnificent bell rings with a powerful, awe-inspiring, deep resonant tone that is truly a majestic symbol of freedom and peace. Group will have a chance to ring the bell.

2 p.m. Newport Gangsters Tour

Explore the streets where the mob made their millions, gamblers lost their lives, and ladies of the night earned their reputations. Join our gangster guides for a raucous, high-energy presentation inside an old casino to explain the historic significance of Newport and discover how this little town gave birth to the modern-day gaming industry.

Evening Dinner at the Hofbräuhaus

The Hofbräuhaus Newport is modeled after the original 400+-year-old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany. Features include German and American dishes, specialty and seasonal biers brewed on-site, live entertainment daily in the traditional Bier Hall, the area’s largest bier garden with a view of Cincinnati’s skyline for 500+ guests to enjoy, and a gift shop.

Day Three

ALL DAY at the Ark Encounter

The Ark Encounter is the world's largest timber frame structure. This modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old. Ark Encounter is situated in beautiful Williamstown, Ky. From the moment you turn the corner and the towering Ark comes into view, to the friendly animals in the zoo, to the jaw-dropping exhibits inside the Ark, you’ll be wowed.

Dinner at Main Street Gardens before leaving Williamstown

Day Four

Breakfast at Hotel

10 a.m. Creation Museum

The state-of-the-art Creation Museum is a venture through stunning exhibits, botanical gardens, planetarium, petting zoo, zip line adventure course, and much more. This 75,000-square-foot facility has welcomed more than 2.5 million guests since opening in Petersburg, Ky.

2:30 p.m. Cathedral of the Basilica of the Assumption

Originally opened in 1837, the first Roman Catholic Church in Covington.  Interior is modeled after the Abbey Church of St. Denis in Paris while the façade mirrors Notre Dame de Paris.

Dinner at Montgomery Inn Boathouse

Family-owned Montgomery Inn serves slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone ribs, topped with top secret recipe barbecue sauce. A real regional favorite!

After dinner, stop for Graeter’s Ice Cream for dessert and a goodbye to NKY.

The Cincinnati-based company remains family owned and operated and continues to hand craft ice cream 2½ gallons at a time. It is still one of Oprah’s favorite things…she actually has it shipped to her in Chicago.
