Baker’s Table

Named one of 2019’s best new restaurants in America by USA Today, Baker’s Table serves up handmade food and beverages for lunch and dinner.  Baker’s Table provides food that is sustainably sourced through local farmers and their menu includes sourdough bread, espresso, savory sandwiches, cocktails, and a seasonally rotating menu of fine-dining specialties.

La Mexicana

Featuring a wide array of fresh Mexican food including tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno, flautas, and more, La Mexicana is a staple of the Monmouth Street area of Newport.  The restaurant also features a Mexican Grocery store.

Pompilios

Pomilios has been serving great Italian food in Newport since 1933 and was even featured in the movie Rainman.  In the early 1990s, two regulation-sized bocce courts were added to the patio, and players can be found on the courts seven days per week whenever weather permits.  The family recipes have been passed down for generations and the restaurant continues to cure the hunger and thirst of locals and visitors alike.

York Street Cafe

When you step into York Street Cafe, you’ll feel like you’ve taken a step back in time, or gone to visit grandma’s house.  Both the decor and the cooking are good for the soul.  Don’t skip dessert.

Tom + Chee

While at Newport on the Levee, be sure to check out Tom + Chee of Shark Tank fame.  Get the grilled cheese donut!

Mokka & The Sunset Bar & Grill

The French toast at Mokka is so good that we often forget how delicious their other food is, too.  With a menu of homemade favorites in a laid-back restaurant with a full bar, Mokka is an excellent choice before, or after, a day at the Levee and Newport Aquarium.

Dixie Chili

When you’re in the Cincy area, you must try Cincinnati chili!  Lucky for you, more than 150 gallons of the local delicacy are prepared daily at Dixie Chili in Newport.  For more than 74 years, chili lovers have been visiting Dixie Chili to get coneys or a three-way.

Coach’s Corner

If you’re looking for a chill place to hang out in Newport, visit Coach’s Corner.  Featuring delicious burgers, hand-cut fries, wraps, salads, and deli sandwiches, as well as a 10 beers on tap, Coach’s Corner is the place to hang out and enjoy the beautiful patio and live music.

Wooden Cask Brewing Company

The owner of Wooden Cask began home-brewing beer in 1998 and has since perfected the process for traditional Irish, Scottish, and English beers.  The brewery has stouts available year-round, which is a rarity in the bar world.  A stop on the Newport Gangster Tour, the York Street building was once home to the infamous Flamingo Club, a popular nightclub that offered illegal gambling in the 40s and 50s, but is polished and ready for a new era of beer drinking, music, and fun.  Wooden Cask has also recently opened an additional location at Newport on the Levee.

Purple Poulet

Serving up some of the best fried chicken in the region, Purple Poulet also features an incredible bourbon selection.  Purple Poulet is a stop on Northern Kentucky’s bourbon trail, The B-Line.
